Job Description

Our client is a highly established international company who offer deliver and offer full turnkey solutions from design through to construction and commissioning on a wide range of project sectors, including data centre across Europe!

They are currently seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their project team on a major Data Centre project in the North East. This role is suitable for someone who is eager to step into a Senior role, or an established Senior QS looking to further progress in their career!


This project will run onsite in the North East for at least 5 years and the role will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring costs are controlled, value is maximised, and financial delivery is achieved in line with project objectives.


All travel & accommodation (if travelling) will be covered!


Requirements


Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the project lifecycle


Prepare, review, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports


Lead the procurement process, including subcontractor selection, tendering, and contract negotiations


Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, and final accounts


Monitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities to ensure financial control


Support and collaborate with Project Managers, Package Managers, and site teams on cost management


Ensure all contractual documentation is maintained and up to date


Attend Commercial Meetings, Site Meetings, and Project Reviews


Evaluate and process change orders and manage variations in line with contract requirements


Prepare and submit interim valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts


Provide commercial advice and support to the wider project team


Ensure compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and company procedures


Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management


Proactively identify and resolve commercial and contractual issues


Skills & Qualifications


Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction xwzovoh Management, or similar discipline


Strong experience managing commercial aspects of large-scale construction projects


Proven track record in cost control, procurement, and contract administration


Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practices


Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams


Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
