- £55,00037.5 Hours per Week | 5 Days On Site | 9-Day FortnightSecurity Clearance RequiredA growing electronics manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Senior NPI Engineer to join its Production Engineering team in Great Yarmouth.Supporting projects across the defence, aerospace and oil & gas sectors, you'll play a key role in bringing new products into manufacture while leading manufacturing engineering projects from concept through to production.
Working closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Design Engineering, you'll ensure new products are introduced efficiently whilst driving continuous improvement across existing manufacturing processes.This is an excellent opportunity to join a business investing in growth, new technology and operational excellence, offering genuine long-term career development within a high-reliability manufacturing environment.The RoleAs a Senior NPI Engineer, you will take ownership of manufacturing engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery of New Product Introduction (NPI), process improvements and industrialisation activities.
You'll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project plans and support the transition of products from development into full production.You'll also provide hands-on support to manufacturing operations, helping resolve production challenges, improve manufacturing capability and optimise quality, efficiency and throughput.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Manufacturing Engineering and NPI projects from concept through to productionCoordinate New Product Introduction activities, production readiness and manufacturing trialsSupport industrialisation of new and existing productsDevelop project plans, schedules and monitor progress against key milestonesCoordinate activities across Manufacturing, Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Design EngineeringManage project risks, actions and priorities to ensure successful deliveryDrive continuous improvement, yield improvement and cost reduction initiativesSupport capacity planning and manufacturing process optimisationProduce project reports, dashboards and updates for senior stakeholdersEnsure manufacturing documentation, processes and training are completed prior to production releaseProvide engineering support to resolve manufacturing and production issuesPromote Lean Manufacturing principles and operational excellence across the businessAbout YouWe're looking for an organised Manufacturing or NPI Engineer who enjoys managing projects, improving manufacturing processes and working collaboratively across multiple engineering disciplines.You'll ideally have:Experience within Manufacturing Engineering, NPI or IndustrialisationPrevious experience delivering engineering or manufacturing projectsStrong planning and project coordination skillsExperience working within electronics manufacturing or other high-reliability industriesExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience working with Production, Quality and Design Engineering teamsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniquesFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systemsProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPointExperience within electronics, defence, aerospace, oil & gas or other regulated manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous.A qualification in Engineering (Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent) is preferred, with project management qualifications such as APM, PRINCE2 or PMP beneficial but not essential. xwzovoh What's on Offer£50,000
