The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Planner to join a growing Planning team in the South West. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects while playing a key role in client management, project delivery, mentoring junior team members, and supporting the continued growth of the regional business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage planning applications, appeals, and strategic planning projects.
- Provide clear and commercially focused planning advice to clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders.
- Support business development activities and identify opportunities to win new work.
- Mentor and develop junior planners, providing guidance and technical support.
- Prepare high-quality reports, planning statements, and representations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple disciplines to deliver successful outcomes.
About You
- MRTPI qualified.
- Experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, or development environment.
- Strong technical planning expertise and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Good knowledge of the South West planning market and policy landscape.
- Commercially aware with an interest in networking and business development.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting and mentoring junior colleagues.
