Senior Planning Officer - The Role: Following internal promotions, we are seeking a highly experienced planner to join our forward-thinking Development Management team. You will manage a complex caseload of major housing and commercial applications alongside intricate minor schemes. Day-to-day, you will handle planning applications and pre-application enquiries, contributing to enhancing the character of the district. You will support and deputise for your Team Manager when required, sharing knowledge with colleagues and developing your own career to the next level. You will work flexibly from home and our modern purpose-built offices at Rushcliffe Arena. Senior Planning Officer - Key Responsibilities: - Manage your own caseload of complex planning applications and pre-application enquiries
- Support team colleagues and contribute to team development and mentoring
- Deputise for the Team Manager as required
- Deal with high-profile and significant development proposals
- Ensure planning decisions enhance the character and growth of the Borough Senior Planning Officer - You: - Highly experienced planner with significant understanding of the Development Management process
- Able to manage complex caseloads and demonstrate strong decision-making
- Capable of mentoring and supporting team members
