Ofgem is working to deliver a smarter, more resilient energy system, helping combat the challenges facing Britain's energy networks by transforming how they are regulated and held to account. We're looking for a Senior Intelligence Lead to join us and help shape a new intelligence-led approach to network oversight that delivers better outcomes for consumers.

Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers, especially vulnerable people.

We're offering a permanent opportunity to join a brand-new team that works to regulate how network companies are overseen. Within an ambitious transformation programme, you'll play a pivotal role in developing a new intelligence-led regulatory approach, helping shape the methods, tools and evidence that will underpin the future of network oversight while influencing one of our most significant new areas of work.

Working across policy, data, engineering, digital, finance and consumer expertise, you'll help build a modern oversight model before playing a leading role in putting it into practice. This is a highly visible position where you'll engage with senior stakeholders, exercise regulatory judgement and contribute to a fast-moving area that will shape the future relationship between Ofgem and network companies.

We're looking for someone with experience of regulatory oversight or energy sector regulation, combined with strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills. You'll be confident interpreting complex evidence, translating strategy into practical approaches, communicating with impact and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic regulatory environment.

In return, you'll join an inclusive organisation where you'll help establish a new regulatory capability while benefiting from flexible working, an excellent pension and generous annual leave. You'll have the chance to make a lasting impact within a collaborative team that is leading a new approach to network oversight at a pivotal time for the energy sector.

We have a critical purpose to develop the intelligence and oversight needed to regulate Britain's energy network companies more effectively. Join us and play a leading role in helping combat emerging risks, strengthen regulatory accountability and deliver a smarter, more resilient energy system that works in the interests of consumers.
