This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career with Ridge, working from our Reading office on a varied portfolio of projects across the Thames Valley and beyond, including prestigious historic building commissions, complex cladding remediation schemes and education projects that make a real difference to local communities.

You will be joining a collaborative team that combines technical expertise, strong client relationships and a practical approach to delivering high-quality built environment projects.

What you need to do to be effective in this role Managing the day-to-day delivery of construction projects from inception through to completion Building trusted relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and wider project stakeholders Supporting the delivery of historic building, cladding remediation, education and wider public and private sector projects Developing clear project documentation, programmes, reports, risk registers and decision records Attending, chairing and recording meetings, ensuring actions are captured and progressed Producing concise and professional reports to suit the relevant stage of each project.

In addition to the above you will also be responsible for the following key activities: Identifying and developing innovative, practical solutions for clients across complex and live environments Assisting with leading and managing multidisciplinary design teams Supporting feasibility studies, site surveys, investigations and project option appraisals Monitoring and reporting on contractor progress, quality, risk and programme performance on site Contributing to projects that protect and enhance existing buildings, improve safety and compliance, and support the delivery of modern learning environments Supporting the Reading team in developing new business opportunities and strengthening existing client relationships Developing the skills to act as a single point of contact, taking responsibility for project delivery and client liaison.

The skills and experience you need to have for this role Construction project management experience is essential Experience of working on building projects, ideally including refurbishment, education, heritage, remediation or occupied-site environments Experience using Microsoft Office software and Microsoft Project A degree in a construction-related subject is desirable, but not essential. xwzovoh

All relevant degree backgrounds will be considered Experience of delivering presentations and communicating clearly with clients and senior professionals Excellent written communication skills, with experience in report writing, meeting notes and project documentation.

Qualifications: Diploma, BSc or MSc in project management, construction management, building surveying or another relevant built environment discipline You will ideally be working towards, or considering working towards, one of the professional qualifications below: MRICS MCIOB MAPM PRINCE2
