We are recruiting for a passionate, driven and commercially minded Senior Project Manager to join our busy and dynamic team.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career with Ridge, working from our Reading office on a varied portfolio of projects across the Thames Valley and beyond, including prestigious historic building commissions, complex cladding remediation schemes and education projects that make a real difference to local communities.

You will be joining a collaborative team that combines technical expertise, strong client relationships and a practical approach to delivering high-quality built environment projects.What you need to do to be effective in this roleManaging the day-to-day delivery of construction projects from inception through to completionBuilding trusted relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and wider project stakeholdersSupporting the delivery of historic building, cladding remediation, education and wider public and private sector projectsDeveloping clear project documentation, programmes, reports, risk registers and decision recordsAttending, chairing and recording meetings, ensuring actions are captured and progressedProducing concise and professional reports to suit the relevant stage of each project.In addition to the above you will also be responsible for the following key activities:Identifying and developing innovative, practical solutions for clients across complex and live environmentsAssisting with leading and managing multidisciplinary design teamsSupporting feasibility studies, site surveys, investigations and project option appraisalsMonitoring and reporting on contractor progress, quality, risk and programme performance on siteContributing to projects that protect and enhance existing buildings, improve safety and compliance, and support the delivery of modern learning environmentsSupporting the Reading team in developing new business opportunities and strengthening existing client relationshipsDeveloping the skills to act as a single point of contact, taking responsibility for project delivery and client liaison.The skills and experience you need to have for this roleConstruction project management experience is essentialExperience of working on building projects, ideally including refurbishment, education, heritage, remediation or occupied-site environmentsExperience using Microsoft Office software and Microsoft ProjectA degree in a construction-related subject is desirable, but not essential. xwzovoh

All relevant degree backgrounds will be consideredExperience of delivering presentations and communicating clearly with clients and senior professionalsExcellent written communication skills, with experience in report writing, meeting notes and project documentation.Qualifications:Diploma, BSc or MSc in project management, construction management, building surveying or another relevant built environment disciplineYou will ideally be working towards, or considering working towards, one of the professional qualifications below:MRICSMCIOBMAPMPRINCE2
