Senior Quality Officer Clinical Laboratory Fortress Clinical Laboratory is looking for a Senior Quality Officer to support the day-to-day operation and continual improvement of the laboratory Quality Management System.

Working closely with the Laboratory Manager and wider team, the successful candidate will help maintain compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, coordinate quality activities and ensure quality actions are completed effectively and on time.
Key Responsibilities Support the maintenance and continual improvement of the laboratory QMS.
Monitor compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and internal procedures.
Coordinate non-conformances, CAPAs and quality incidents.
Monitor outstanding quality actions and follow up to ensure timely completion.
Support and participate in internal and external audits.
Assist with IQC/EQA investigations and root-cause analysis.
Monitor and report quality KPIs and trends.
Support customer complaint investigations and maintain appropriate records.
Maintain and update quality documentation, including SOPs and Work Instructions.
Coordinate quality-related staff training and maintain training records.
Support departmental risk assessments and quality objectives.
Assist with Management Review Meetings and prepare quality updates.
Support the Laboratory Manager with contract reviews and other quality activities.
Promote quality awareness and good practice throughout the laboratory.
Qualifications & Experience Degree in a relevant scientific or related discipline.
Experience working within a Quality Management System such as ISO 17025, ISO 15189 or ISO 9001.
Clinical diagnostic or laboratory experience would be advantageous.
Internal auditing experience is desirable.
Understanding of CAPA, non-conformances, root-cause analysis and risk management.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
