If so, due to our continuing success, we are experiencing rapid and extensive growth across all business sectors and are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a successful background in construction.

You will join our Commercial team, supporting a variety of projects across the North West.

You will support the financial management of contracts in partnership with the Contracts Managers and/or Project Managers.

What You Will Be Doing

• Work in partnership with site management, providing commercial support as required to develop a proactive site team and ensure contractual obligations are identified and administered.

Vet contract documentation upon receipt from the client to ensure compatibility with the Company's tender submission and subsequent negotiations.

Produce a Commercial Risk Register for each contract, monitoring risk and assisting in the implementation of agreed mitigation measures.

Prepare and issue enquiries for major plant, equipment and subcontract packages. Commercially evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing and terms with vendors, and issue resultant purchase orders.

Prepare and submit applications for payment and/or invoices, obtain payment certificates and progress client payments in accordance with contractual provisions.

Measure, submit and agree variations, loss and expense claims, and/or compensation events in accordance with contractual provisions to facilitate the prompt agreement of final accounts.

Monitor on-site record keeping and prepare and issue notices in accordance with contractual provisions.

Prepare and submit monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and Cash/Spend Profiles. Attend Contract Review Meetings.

Authorise and code suppliers' and subcontractors' invoices and submit them to Finance for payment.

Measure, certify and agree subcontractors' interim valuations and final accounts. Prepare and issue contractual notices to subcontractors.

Who We Are Looking For

• A Senior Quantity Surveyor with a successful track record in the construction industry.

Educated to BSc level in Quantity Surveying (or another equivalent commercially related discipline).

A strong understanding of NEC3 and NEC4 Contracts, including Options A, B, C, D and E, with predominantly Option A experience.

Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g. MRICS or equivalent).

Knowledge and practical experience within the construction and/or mechanical and electrical (M&E) sectors.

Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.

Full UK driving licence.
