The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing, independent Chartered Surveying consultancy with an established reputation across the care, retirement living, residential and healthcare sectors.

Applying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.

The business has ambitious growth plans, a strong pipeline of secured projects and works with a range of leading care operators, developers and organisations across the UK.

This role would suit a Senior QS who enjoys taking ownership of projects and client relationships while working within a smaller, entrepreneurial consultancy where there is genuine opportunity to influence the future growth of the business.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the commercial and cost management delivery of projects from initial feasibility and cost planning through procurement, construction and final account.

Projects will predominantly sit within the care home, retirement living and wider residential/multi-bed sectors, including both new-build and refurbishment schemes.

You will work directly with clients, contractors and project teams, providing commercially focused advice throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver full pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services
  • Undertake feasibility studies, estimating and cost planning
  • Lead procurement and tender management
  • Provide contract administration and commercial reporting
  • Manage valuations, variations and final accounts
  • Work closely with developers, operators and wider project teams
  • Manage multiple projects and client relationships

About You

  • Construction Consultancy / PQS experience
  • Experience within any multi-beds sector: could be care homes/ retirement living or senior living, Healthcare, Residential (Apartments, Student Accommodation, Social Housing), Hotels, Build To Rent or similar development-led projects
  • Strong pre and post-contract experience

MRICS would be advantageous but is not essential

Sector knowledge is important, but the business is equally interested in someone with the right

multi-bed development experience and commercial mindset who can transfer their skills

into the care and retirement market.

Package

  • £55,000 – £70,000 basic salary, depending on experience, plus a competitive benefits package.
  • There is also a 10% New Business Bonus, providing genuine financial reward for individuals who use their network and relationships to introduce and develop new opportunities.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a growing independent consultancy rather than simply become

another person within a large corporate structure. xwzovoh

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Work closely with the senior leadership team
  • Take ownership of projects and key client relationships
  • Have genuine influence over the future growth of the business
  • Build and develop your own client network
  • Be commercially rewarded for contributing to new business
  • Enjoy greater autonomy and visibility than you may find within a larger consultancy

For someone looking for greater autonomy, increased client exposure and the opportunity to

be commercially rewarded for helping grow a consultancy, this represents an excellent next

step.
