HS2 is one of the most ambitious construction projects Europe has seen in a generation and our client, a top-tier main contractor, needs a commercially sharp Senior Quantity Surveyor (or Commercial Manager, for the right person) to help deliver it. You'll sit at the heart of the commercial team, working hand-in-hand with operations to protect margins, manage risk, and secure every pound of contractual entitlement on a scheme with national significance. Strong performers with the right experience will have a clear route to step up into a Commercial Manager role. What You'll Be Doing Championing a safety-first mindset across a high-profile site Keeping the project on the right side of legal, contractual, and company standards Reading the contract inside out - spotting risk and opportunity before they become problems Building a watertight paper trail to back every entitlement Driving applications for payment and variations through to approval Owning subcontract accounts from appointment to final account Delivering commercial reporting that gives leadership real visibility Leading final account negotiations directly with the client (CM-level) Taking the reins on commercial strategy and leading the wider teamWhat You'll Bring Solid QS experience MEP background a strong plus A proven NEC and infrastructure track record Degree or HNC, or equivalent hands-on experience A track record managing change and subcontract accounts Confident working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts Commercial Manager-level candidates are actively encouraged to apply - and rewarded accordinglyThe Package Up to £100,000 basic (negotiable for CM experience) £300/month car allowance London Travel Allowance up to £10,000 Project bonus scheme 25 days holiday + bank holidays Pension - up to 8% employer contribution Private healthcare 24/7 employee assistance programme Flexible benefits and discounts Personal development programmeWant in on HS2?
