Senior Quantity Surveyor (Contract)

Job DescriptionSENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR CIVILSGLASGOW£70-85,000 plus car/allowance My client is a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor on an exciting new £70M project in the outskirts of Glasgow. You will manage contract administration, risk management and negotiation effectively to deliver the agreed profitability and cash projections, informing line management and seeking guidance as and when required. Communicate and liaise with system subcontractor * Ensure commercial compliance of current contracts, protecting the position of the company * Report to Commercial Manager about the subcontract status * this will not just be mechanical and electrical scope * Support the Commercial and Contract Managers with monthly project cost reports and progress reports * Provide provision, when required, to the rest of the team for managing other subcontract lifecycles, participating in procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations and work package management * Preparation of monthly financial statement of anticipated final Account detailing status of variations (budget, submitted, agreed), in conjunction with project management * Assist with monthly work in progress reports in conjunction with project manager * Being fully aware of and actively complying with the client's policies and procedures relevant to your own responsibilities and to corporate policies and procedures including equality, sustainability and the environment, health and safety and data protection Qualifications * Minimum BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent * Previous NEC contract experience (NEC3 or NEC4 option C) * Familiar with IT software, in particular the Microsoft suite; to include Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word Benefits Their career development opportunities would provide you with a clear progression pathway, advanced education in your core subjects, as well as management and leadership opportunities to excel quickly.They understand the importance of work-life balance, so offer flexible working hours (where applicable) and generous leave policies to help you maintain a healthy work-life integration.
