Senior Quantity Surveyor (Contract)

A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major long-term infrastructure programme in Kent. This is an opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to take a senior role within a technically complex project environment, working closely with the Project and Commercial Management teams. You will take responsibility for the commercial management of significant work packages and provide commercial leadership across the project. Leading commercial management across allocated packages Preparing and managing CVRs and monthly financial reports Identifying and managing commercial risk Providing commercial advice to the Project Manager and wider delivery team Managing commercial issues, disputes and negotiations Mentoring and developing junior commercial staff Supporting project-level commercial strategy Ensuring compliance with company commercial procedures The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will ideally have: Strong experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or major construction projects Significant main contractor or specialist contractor experience Experience managing commercial packages independently Strong understanding of construction contracts A relevant degree or HNC/HND qualificationThis role would suit an ambitious Senior QS looking for a long-term project where they can take ownership of major commercial packages and progress within a growing commercial team.
