Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are delighted to be partnering with a highly respected, award-winning fit-out and refurbishment contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. Established for almost 50 years, our client has built an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment and fit-out projects across the commercial, industrial, education, science & technology and specialist sectors. With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued business growth, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated commercial professional looking to join a financially stable contractor that values quality, long-term client relationships and investing in its people. The Role You will take commercial responsibility for multiple refurbishment and fit-out projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with Contracts Managers and clients, you will ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining excellent commercial control throughout. Key Responsibilities * Managing the commercial performance of multiple construction projects. * Preparing, submitting and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts. * Producing accurate monthly cost reports, CVRs and cash flow forecasts. * Procuring subcontract packages and negotiating favourable commercial terms. * Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts. * Administering contract changes and ensuring all variations are captured and valued. * Identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies. * Providing commercial support to operational teams throughout project delivery. * Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain. * Supporting value engineering initiatives to maximise project profitability. * Mentoring and supporting junior members of the commercial team where required. About You To be considered, you will ideally have: * Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry. * Previous experience working for a main contractor, ideally delivering refurbishment or fit-out projects. * Strong contractual knowledge, including JCT forms of contract. * Proven experience managing projects from procurement through to final account. * Excellent negotiation and communication skills. * Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting systems. What's on Offer * £80,000 - £90,000 salary with car allowance. * 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays. * Pension scheme.
