Senior Quantity Surveyor - Facades & Building Envelope Location - Salford Salary/Package - £60,000 - £75,000 + Excellent Benefits Package About the Company Our client is a leading nationwide façade contractor specialising in façade remediation and large-scale new-build projects across the UK. Delivering complete building envelope solutions, they work on complex residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, providing expertise in cladding, brick slips, external wall insulation (EWI), rendering, steel framing systems, glazing, and curtain walling. Working as both a Principal Contractor and Specialist Subcontractor, the business has established an excellent reputation for delivering technically challenging façade schemes in line with the latest building safety regulations. With a strong pipeline of remediation and new-build projects, continued growth has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for: Managing the commercial delivery of multiple façade and building envelope projects from contract award through to final account Preparing and managing CVRs, cost forecasts, and commercial reports Procuring subcontractors and managing subcontract accounts Preparing and agreeing interim valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accounts Monitoring project costs and identifying opportunities to maximise profitability Managing commercial risk and ensuring contractual compliance Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully Supporting the Commercial Manager with strategic commercial decisions Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors Ensuring all commercial procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle The Ideal Candidate The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have: Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry Experience within façades, cladding, remediation, external wall insulation (EWI), rendering, or the building envelope sector would be highly advantageous Alternatively, strong commercial experience with a Main Contractor delivering major construction projects will also be considered Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills Experience producing CVRs, forecasts, valuations, and final accounts Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management Full UK Driving Licence What's on Offer Competitive basic salary of £60,000 - £75,000 Attractive benefits package Opportunity to join a market-leading façade contractor Exposure to high-profile remediation and new-build projects across the UK Long-term career progression within a growing commercial team Ongoing professional development and training Supportive and collaborative working environment Apply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.
