Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering major utility and energy projects across the North West.Working as part of an established commercial team, you'll support the financial and contractual management of multiple projects, helping to maximise commercial performance while building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and operational teams.This role would suit a Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career on long-term infrastructure frameworks with excellent progression opportunities.The RoleReporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager, you'll support the commercial management of projects from inception through to final account, ensuring accurate cost control, reporting and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the commercial management of utility and infrastructure projectsProduce and maintain CVRs, cost reports and financial forecastsSupport subcontract procurement and commercial managementAdminister subcontract accounts from award through to final accountManage compensation events, variations and change controlPrepare and submit applications for paymentMonitor project costs, cash flow and commercial performanceSupport the management of project risks and opportunitiesReview and administer NEC contractsAssist with the agreement of final accounts with clients and subcontractorsProvide commercial support to project and operational teamsContribute to tender reviews and pre-construction commercial activities where requiredAbout YouEssentialPrevious experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a contractor environmentStrong commercial awareness and understanding of cost management principlesExperience producing CVRs, forecasts, valuations and cost reportsWorking knowledge of NEC contractsExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to manage your workload and prioritise effectivelyIf you're a Quantity Surveyor looking to work on major utility and infrastructure projects with a contractor that offers long-term career development and progression, we'd be keen to discuss this opportunity further.Apply today for a confidential conversation.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
