I'm currently working with a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor that's looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation in the residential infrastructure sector, delivering a wide range of groundworks and civil engineering packages for leading housebuilders across the South. The Role Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you'll play a key role across both estimating and quantity surveying, supporting projects from tender stage through to final account.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing competitive estimates and tender submissions for residential groundworks projects
Managing project costs, valuations and variations
Producing cost plans, forecasts and commercial reports
Supporting contract administration and ensuring contractual compliance
Working closely with site, procurement and operational teams
Assisting with the agreement of final accounts and project change
Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders About You We're looking for someone who has:
At least 3 years' experience within quantity surveying
Experience delivering groundworks or civil engineering projects
Strong commercial awareness and excellent numerical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience using Bluebeam or similar take-off software would be advantageous
A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package
