Together, they work as ‘One Murphy’ - directly delivering the people, plant and expertise needed to make projects a success. Visit (url removed) or follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X: #MoretoMurphy A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Quantity Surveyor Encourage and develop a culture of commercial awareness within the team Ensure the site team adheres to group procedures and governance Composing of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required Devising of Valuations/Applications for Payment with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contract Construction of Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accounts Preperation and management of subcontract and material procurement schedules Undertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change Use the cost allocation/coding which satisfies both internal and external requirements Measurement of quantities in accordance with the standard methods of measurement as required Positive engagement with Client equivalent position and development, motivation & performance management of junior staff   Still interested, does this sound like you? BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying (or equivalent qualification)  Strong civil and/or rail background (essential) ideally rail Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or a Quantity Surveyor looking to step up. Registered with RICS / ICES and working towards chartership.
