Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location : Aberdeen Contract Length : 5 months (Dec 2026) Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This role is essential for managing all costs and income within their area of responsibility, seeking to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. Job Purpose Experienced QS who has a track record in managing all costs and income within their area of responsibility. They seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. Typically, they will be a Chartered Member of the RICS, ICES or CIOB. They will have experience of managing a small team of less experienced commercial staff as well as mentoring others on their journey to becoming professionally qualified. They will maintain their Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Responsibilities Governance * Has a good knowledge of and adheres to the Company's governance requirements and maximises LEAN/digital opportunities. Commercial Management and Administration * Orders information and systematically checks data * Prepares Activity Schedules, Resource Schedules & analyses tender documents * Critically appraises, estimates and negotiates the above with 3rd parties * Reviews complex contract programmes such as Time-Location * Assists with the preparation of delay and disruption programmes * Monitors subcontract activities, measure and respond appropriately * Prepares Internal reports, commercial progress and financial reconciliation and report to senior project staff Customer/Change Management * Understanding of the Customer Contract and undertakes customer and stakeholder management * Analyses rates & prices, agreement of variations and or compensation events as required * Prepares, submits and negotiates claims when required * Manages commercial aspects with Customer and Stakeholders for their area of responsibility Procurement * Undertakes constructability analyses using construction programmes * Prepares procurement programme and helps develop the strategy Development, Recruitment and Retention * Supports the recruitment, supervision and development of team members About You Essentials - The following qualifications or their equivalent are essential: * BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent knowledge * MRCIS/MCInstCES/MCIOB or working towards them * CSCS Card (Professional Qualified Person) Behaviours * Our behaviours include Talk Positively, Collaborate Relentlessly, Encourage Constantly, Make a Difference and Value Everyone.
