Salary: Up to £39,000.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Circle Health Group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to join our friendly and motivated team of staff working in the Pre Assessment department.

This is apart-time role at 22.5 hours a week with the opportunity to increase to full-time hours in the future. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Main duties of the job

Duties of this role include:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care and lead on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for complex patients

  • Use advanced clinical knowledge to make timely and appropriate decisions, escalating where necessary.

  • Administer medication safely and monitor patient response, ensuring adherence to NMC and local protocols.

  • Delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring safe and effective workload management across the shift.

  • Uphold a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding, medicines management, and risk reporting procedures.

  • Act as a key contact for patients and their families, offering clinical updates, reassurance, and information to support shared decision-making.

  • Liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure smooth transitions between services.

Job responsibilities

WHAT DO YOU DO?

  • Support the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community.

  • Support the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.

  • Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge / skill, and expertise.

  • Communicate appropriately with others involved in the care of the patient.

  • Take charge of the clinical area as required, ensuring effective operational management of clinical area on a 24-hour basis.

  • Comply with all relevant mandatory training

WHAT DO YOU HAVE?

  • 18 months post registration experience.

  • Experience working within a team model of nursing.

  • Previous experience working within the acute healthcare sector.

  • Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations.

  • Registered general nurse level 1/ Diploma / BSc in Nursing studies.

  • Evidence of relevant clinical professional development preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.

  • Mentorship Qualification (ENB 998 or equivalent).

  • Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability.

  • Excellent clinical applied knowledge which is evidenced based and takes account of national best practice standards.

  • Understanding of workload and shift management.

Essential

  • Applicants should meet the following criteria:
  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration.
  • Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant clinical setting.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a nursing team.
  • Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
  • Confidence in working independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Previous experience in a senior or supervisory nursing role desirable.
