Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Reservoir Engineer, based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities
- Lead reservoir engineering activities for the project assets, supporting effective reservoir management and field optimisation.
- Build, maintain and interpret reservoir simulation models to support forecasting and opportunity identification.
- Communicate reservoir performance, risks and uncertainties clearly to support business decision-making.
- Work collaboratively across Subsurface, Wells, Operations and Commercial teams to deliver integrated outcomes.
- Provide technical assurance and present recommendations to management, joint venture partners and regulatory stakeholders.
- Support development projects and business growth opportunities across the wider portfolio.
- Responsible for reservoir management through production data analysis, reservoir simulation and analysis of case prediction.
- Reservoir engineering support provision to asset development projects, including liaising with petroleum engineering and process engineering disciplines.
- Presenting output of work for internal QC, JV partners and regulatory authorities
- Communication of subsurface risk and uncertainty to enable informed Area decisions
- Integration with other functions, especially Ops, Commercial and Wells
- Assessing and QC’ing inputs to static and dynamic reservoir models
- Building and running reservoir models in support of production optimisation, forecasting and identification of value adding opportunities
- Support business development activities as required.
Experience & Qualifications
- Extensive experience in industry within a reservoir engineering / petroleum discipline
- Eclipse, Petroleum Experts, Harmony and other reservoir engineering software & simulation skills, building, running and optimising models; Working knowledge of other key petrotechnical software
- Ability to work with across disciplines to deliver value adding projects.
- Manage integrated and complex subsurface workflows
- Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
- Understanding of economics, key business drivers and company goals
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering or closely related subject
