Senior Site Engineer Geotechnical & Major Infrastructure ?? Location: Suffolk (Sizewell C) ?? Excellent Salary + Bonus + Outstanding Benefits The Opportunity An industry-leading specialist contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Engineer to support the delivery of one of the UK's largest and most prestigious infrastructure projects. Working within a collaborative alliance environment, you'll play a key role in delivering complex ground engineering, diaphragm wall and soil improvement works , helping shape a nationally significant clean energy project. The Role As Senior Site Engineer, you'll lead multiple engineering workfronts, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and work closely with project, commercial and operational teams to achieve successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities Engineering & Site Delivery Lead engineering activities across multiple workfronts Coordinate daily site operations and engineering resources Resolve technical issues and provide engineering guidance Ensure compliance with RAMS, permits, ITPs and project specifications Drive quality, productivity and programme performance Health, Safety & Quality Champion a proactive safety culture across site Lead site briefings, investigations and corrective actions Ensure QA processes and hold points are achieved Manage NCRs and quality documentation Produce clear technical and quality reports Programme & Commercial Manage short-term planning and engineering sequencing Monitor critical path activities and programme progress Support delay analysis and recovery planning Prepare and manage NEC Early Warnings, Compensation Events and change control Assist with forecasting, productivity monitoring and subcontractor management Leadership Mentor and develop Site Engineers and Graduate Engineers Work closely with project managers, commercial teams and designers Build strong relationships with clients, alliance partners and stakeholders Promote continuous improvement across project delivery About You We're looking for someone with: Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering 5+ years' experience delivering major civil engineering or infrastructure projects Strong experience in ground engineering, diaphragm walls or soil improvement Excellent technical and problem-solving skills Experience working under NEC contracts (NEC4 desirable) CSCS & SMSTS Strong communication and leadership abilities Experience using P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, CEMAR and Excel Desirable Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or working towards) NEC4 Accreditation Alliance project experience Experience with compensation events and recovery planning Incident investigation or Appointed Person qualification What's On Offer Competitive salary Annual performance bonus Private Medical Insurance Life Assurance & Income Protection Enhanced pension contribution Enhanced sick pay 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (increasing with service) Buy additional annual leave Professional memberships paid Employee Assistance Programme Ongoing training and career development This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading engineering contractor delivering one of the UK's most technically challenging infrastructure projects, offering genuine career progression alongside exposure to cutting-edge geotechnical construction techniques.
