Powercor are a multi-award-winning company within the renewable energy sector, holding an established track record of providing job opportunities and long-term careers to people in the electrical and sustainability industry.Based in Weybridge, Surrey and operating predominately in London and the Southeast, we are looking to recruit an experienced, organised and driven Senior Solar Solutions Manager to work directly alongside our Technical Director.This is a key position within our growing Solar and Battery Storage division.

You will help manage projects from initial enquiry and survey through to installation, commissioning and final handover.

You will be based in Surrey with travel to sites as required.The role would suit someone who understands the solar industry, takes ownership and can confidently coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.We are looking for someone who :Has experience within Solar PV, Battery Storage or electrical project deliveryIs experienced in solar stringing system design 5 years+Understands Solar Edge, PV Sol or Reonic platforms (preferable)Has experience of managing a CRMHas experience and a background in electrical contractingHas strong organisational and project-management skillsCan manage several projects and priorities simultaneouslyCommunicates confidently with clients, engineers and suppliersIs commercially aware and understands project costs and marginsTakes responsibility and remains calm under pressureHas excellent attention to detailIs customer centric focusedIs comfortable working independently and making decisionsHolds a full UK driving licenceHolds full electrical qualifications (Gold card or equivalent) along with Solar PV / EESS qualifications (C&G/BPEC/LCL/EAL)Has knowledge of MCS processes ( highly advantageous )Key responsibilities:Supporting the Technical Director with the daily running of the departmentPlanning and coordinating Solar PV and Battery Storage installationsReviewing surveys, designs, quotations and project requirementsOrganising labour, materials, access equipment and subcontractorsMonitoring project programmes, costs and profitabilityEnsuring installations comply with MCS requirements, BS 7671 and company standardsManaging DNO applications, commissioning information and handover documentationLiaising professionally with clients, consultants and suppliersAttending site meetings and carrying out progress inspectionsIdentifying and resolving issues before they affect deliverySupporting the continued growth and development of the Solar divisionIn return we will help you develop your career, and you will be part of an exciting, well established, and fast-growing company that is leading the way in Making energy efficientWhat we offer:Competitive salary based on experienceCompany vehicle or car allowanceCompany mobile phone and equipment25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysWorkplace pensionDeath-in-service benefitOngoing training and professional developmentA genuine opportunity to progress as the division growsThis is more than a standard project-management position.
