You will: Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service Ensure food is prepared, cooked, and presented to high standards Showcase your knowledge of West African cuisine, ingredients, and techniques Take responsibility for your section, maintaining quality and consistency Maintain excellent standards of hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness Assist with menu development and innovate where possible Manage stock levels, orders, and rotation, controlling wastage Train and support junior team members Lead the kitchen during the Head Chef's absence Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to deliver efficient service Help maintain food costs and labour targets Follow A procedures and company policiesWhat we're looking for The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef, Sous Chef, or strong Junior Sous Chef in a busy restaurant environment Experience working in high-volume kitchens A genuine passion for West African cuisine and flavours Strong cooking skills and understanding of kitchen operations Excellent leadership, motivation, and communication abilities Calmness under pressure and a hands-on approach High standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food hygiene Attention to detail and consistency A positive attitude and a willingness to support and develop the teamIf you're searching for your next Step as a Senior Sous Chef in a vibrant West African restaurant, we'd love to hear from you.
