The Business: Specialists in structural steelwork with a reputation for innovation and reliability Known for delivering complex steel structures across major UK sectors from infrastructure to commercial development The Role of the Senior Structural Design Engineer: They are looking to strengthen their design team with a Senior Structural Design Engineer to take on high profile and complex structural projects. Here’s how: Deliver high quality structural designs for steel frameworks and complex connections Conduct manual and software-based calculations to British and Eurocode standards Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients throughout project lifecycles Maintain effective client relationships to support repeat business and referrals Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members Attend design meetings and contribute to technical discussions Requirements of the Senior Structural Design Engineer: Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering (ideally working toward Chartered status) Minimum 8 years’ experience in UK based structural steel design Previous experience with a UK based steelwork fabricator Proven experience in steelwork frame and connection design Proficient in Tekla Structural Designer, Masterseries, S-Frame, IDEA StatiCa Knowledge of British and European design standards Confident producing both manual and software-based calculations Experience in temporary works design (desirable) Benefits of the Senior Structural Design Engineer: 33 days holiday (including Bank Holidays and Christmas shutdown) Company pension: 5% employer / 3% employee contributions Life assurance Flexitime options Performance related bonus scheme A collaborative, technically driven team environment where your ideas matter Interested?
