Associate/Principal/Senior Structural Engineer - Heavy Civil Engineering (Nuclear & Defence) Location: Remote with occasional travel to Plymouth for workshops and meetings Project: Major Heavy Civil Engineering - Nuclear & Defence Infrastructure We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join a major infrastructure programme supporting the upgrade of an existing dry dock at a high-profile nuclear and defence site in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a complex heavy civil engineering project. We are looking for a technically strong engineer who enjoys carrying out the engineering work rather than focusing primarily on project management or team supervision. Key Responsibilities Produce and independently check structural calculations for heavy civil engineering works. Work collaboratively with the BIM team to develop,review and coordinate engineering drawings and models. Review reinforced concrete (RC) intent and modelling,applying a strong understanding of reinforcement detailing. Interrogate and review BIM models using software such as Navisworks and Solibri. Prepare high-quality technical documentation,including Technical Notes,Specifications and supporting engineering reports.
