Client: BAE Systems
Location: Warton, Prestwick or Brough
Contract Length: 12 months
Hybrid: onsite – Full time
37 hours per week
Rate: £31.60 PAYE or £42.50 Umbrella inside IR35
Overview
This is an opportunity to work on complex aerospace projects, contributing to structural analysis activities across metallic and composite aircraft structures. You will play a key role in delivering high quality engineering solutions while supporting and developing junior engineers within the team.
Clearance requirement: Eligible for SC clearance and UK eyes only
Key Responsibilities
Structural sizing and analysis
Finite Element Analysis
Fatigue and damage tolerance assessments
Producing engineering calculations using both traditional hand calculations and software tools
Demonstrating compliance against certification and programme requirements
Leading and delivering analysis tasks for yourself and other members of the team
Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
Working closely with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers to resolve technical challenges and improve ways of working
Key Skills
Degree qualified in a STEM discipline or equivalent industry experience
Strong background in aircraft structural analysis
Experience working with metallic and composite structures
Finite Element Analysis experience
Previous experience within a design or structures engineering environment
Ability to operate across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Strong reporting and presentation skills
