We're looking for a caring Senior Support Worker to join MacIntyre and help us deliver an excellent quality of life for the people we support.
You'll play a hands-on, senior role within the team, supporting people with their person-centred plans, personal care and daily lives, while also helping to coach, mentor and supervise colleagues. You'll be a role model for great practice, stepping up in the absence of the Frontline or Deputy Manager and making sure the people we support always come first.

What you'll be doing
Supporting people with personal care, medication, wellbeing and daily living, in line with their person-centred plans
Helping people build relationships and take part in their local community
Coaching, mentoring and supervising support staff, and supporting new starters through their induction
Acting as Linkworker for named individuals as directed
Contributing to risk assessments, rotas and day-to-day quality of the service
Stepping up and taking responsibility in the absence of the Frontline or Deputy Manager
Who We're Looking For
At least 1 year's experience working with people with learning disabilities, autism, or in a related field
A genuine commitment to person-centred, co-produced support
Confident supervising, coaching and mentoring others
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with basic IT literacy
A current driving licence
Flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, waking nights and bank holidays as required

As a Senior Support Worker, you will manage staff rotas and mentor, train and coach your team. Working with the Manager you will monitor and control expenditure to ensure there are robust budget controls in place. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and our own processes and procedures.
Your ability to drive unlocks the opportunities for people to do the things they really enjoy. S o you must be a driver with a full UK Drivers license .
You will be working 37.5 hours a week on a rota, including days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.

Understanding of relevant external regulators (e.g. CQC, CIW, HSE) and what they expect from services
Willingness to work towards relevant vocational qualifications
