Senior Support Worker Location: Nelson, Lancashire
Salary: £26,000 £34,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Support Worker to join a growing care organisation providing high-quality support to adults and children.

Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of high-quality care across adult and childrens services
Assist with the day-to-day coordination and smooth running of services
Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to care staff
Complete and review care plans, risk assessments, and service documentation
Support quality monitoring activities and contribute to service improvements
Participate in staff meetings, supervisions, and team development discussions
Assist with safeguarding processes and ensure concerns are reported appropriately
Support audits, compliance checks, and the maintenance of regulatory standards
Gather feedback from service users and contribute to improving care provision
Work alongside senior colleagues to ensure person-centred care remains at the heart of the service
Assist with recruitment, staff training, and ongoing staff development
Essential Requirements Previous experience working as a Senior Support Worker or within a similar senior care role
Experience within adult and/or childrens care services
Experience liaising with other professionals, including social workers, professional therapists, families, and clients
Good understanding of safeguarding, care planning, and risk assessments
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Adult Care and/or Childrens Residential Care
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to support and motivate colleagues
Good administrative and IT skills, including completing care records and reports
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Desirable Requirements Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or willingness to work towards this
Experience supporting audits, quality checks, or compliance activities
A genuine ambition to progress into a more senior leadership role within care
Working Hours & Benefits Monday to Friday, 10:00am 5:30pm
No weekend working required
No on-call responsibilities
28 days annual leave
