Job Description TSA isseeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to deliver a comprehensive range of professional building surveying services across a diverse property portfolio.The role involves managing projects from inception through to completion, providing expert technical advice, conducting surveys and inspections, preparing technical reports and specifications, administering construction contracts, and advising clients on property condition, maintenance, compliance, fire safety, and building safety.
You will work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards, while also supporting business development, mentoring junior team members, promoting sustainable building solutions, and contributing to continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a varied portfolio of building surveying projects from inception to completion.Undertake building surveys, condition assessments, defect diagnosis, and technical due diligence.Administer construction contracts and monitor project delivery.Provide professional advice on maintenance strategies, statutory compliance, fire safety, and building safety.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.Attend client meetings, site inspections, and project progress meetings.Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.Support business development by identifying opportunities within existing client relationships.Promote sustainable building solutions throughout project delivery.Skills & ExperienceMRICS Chartered Building Surveyor with at least two years' post-qualification experience, or working towards chartership with a RICS-accredited Building Surveying degree.Experience in technical due diligence, condition surveys, and defect diagnosis.Strong knowledge of planned preventative maintenance and lifecycle planning.Sound understanding of contract administration and project delivery.Knowledge of statutory compliance, fire safety, and building safety legislation.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.Full UK driving licence.
