You’ll take industrial machinery (think advanced robotic arms, high-speed conveyors, and intricate pneumatic assemblies) from initial workshop builds all the way to live site commissioning. With a balanced 50/50 split between workshop engineering and UK site travel, you get the variety of on-site commissioning combined with a stable, structured base in Mid Wales. What You’ll Be Doing Build & Program: Assist in panel construction and write robust PLC, HMI, and robotic control logic from the ground up. Test & Commission: Run full Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in the workshop, then take the lead on-site for installation, testing, and sign-off. Lead & Mentor: Share your expertise by coaching junior control engineers and running hands-on operational training for client teams. Problem Solve: Deliver expert diagnostic support for critical breakdowns and keep projects running smoothly. Document & Deliver: Keep senior leadership updated on key milestones and produce clear, professional technical documentation for clients. What You’ll Bring Automation & Robotics Expertise: Proven experience with automated industrial machinery, backed by a strong grasp of mechanical principles. Key Software Exposure: Hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs and ABB robotics is highly desirable. Field & Maintenance Record: At least 3 years in reactive maintenance and small-to-medium project delivery. Mobility & Independence: A full UK Driving License and the willingness to travel across the UK (approx. 50% site time, with overnight stays provided). Communication: Highly proactive, IT literate, and comfortable facing customers or leading junior engineers. Perks & Benefits Competitive Pay: Salary up to £60,000 plus extra earnings through regular overtime options. Fully Equipped: Company van, laptop, mobile phone, and full uniform provided. Time Off: 24 days paid annual leave + 8 bank holidays. Work-Life Structure: Predictable early-finish day shifts (16:30 end) and zero weekend rotas. Career Growth: Clear progression pathways with funding and support for ongoing technical training.   Applications are encouraged from all sectors of the community. #FMCG #Sunnyjobs
