Job description: Are you an expert in US GAAP tax reporting who enjoys solving complex technical challenges? Do you want to take ownership of European tax reporting within a global, multinational organisation? Are you looking for a highly visible role where you can collaborate with senior stakeholders across the UK, Europe and the US ? If so, GXO has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tax Manager US GAAP Tax Reporting to join our Global Tax Team.
Reporting to the VP Tax Europe, you'll play a key role in managing the European component of GXO's global US GAAP income tax reporting, partnering with colleagues across Finance, Treasury, Legal and Tax functions worldwide.
This is a full time, permanent role based 2/3 days per week in either Great Portland Street in London or Northampton, with travel between locations and occasional international travel.
Pay, benefits and more: Were looking to offer a salary of up to £114,000 and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).

What youll do on a typical day: Lead the European US GAAP income tax reporting process, ensuring compliance with ASC 740, IAS 12 and local statutory reporting requirements Manage key tax accounting areas including deferred tax, valuation allowances, FIN48 positions, Pillar 2 reporting and Country-by-Country Reporting Own consolidated cash tax forecasting and reporting activities, providing timely and accurate information to US stakeholders Ensure compliance with SOX controls and support internal and external audit requirements across the tax function Partner with Finance, Treasury, Legal and international tax teams to identify opportunities to simplify, enhance and improve tax processes What you need to succeed at GXO: Significant experience in US GAAP tax reporting and tax provisioning within a Big 4 and/or multinational in-house tax environment.
Strong technical expertise in ASC 740, IAS 12, deferred tax accounting, cash tax forecasting and tax compliance processes.
Experience working within a US-parented or US multinational organisation, collaborating across international teams and stakeholders.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels across the business.
A proactive, detail-focused and commercially minded approach, with the ability to prioritise effectively and deliver under pressure. xwzovoh
