LAW Absolute are working with a leading international organisation looking to appoint an experienced Senior IP Counsel/ Senior Trademark Counsel on an interim basis to support its established legal team during a busy period. The role is for three months.

This role will focus on managing a diverse international intellectual property portfolio, partnering closely with commercial and brand teams across multiple jurisdictions.

Start date: ASAP

Location: London (hybrid working)

Contract duration: 3 months’

 

Key responsibilities:

• 
  
• Advising on trademark clearance, brand launches, and associated legal risks.

Developing and implementing global trademark filing and portfolio management strategies.

Handling trademark enforcement matters, oppositions, disputes, and brand protection initiatives.

Providing guidance on wider intellectual property issues, including copyright, domain names, and advertising-related matters.

Managing external counsel across international jurisdictions.

Collaborating with business stakeholders on strategic projects and commercial initiatives.

Essential experience:

• 
  
• Qualified lawyer with significant experience in intellectual property law, particularly trademarks.

Proven track record managing complex global trademark portfolios.

Experience gained within a leading law firm and/or in-house legal environment.

Strong commercial awareness with the ability to provide pragmatic legal advice.

Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, international business.
