We're looking for a Senior Visitor Experience Officer to join us! This is a fixed-term backfill opportunity, offering a chance to step into a key role within the visitor experience team at Llanerchaeron and make an immediate impact during a busy and exciting period. In this role, you will be supporting the delivery of high-quality visitor experiences across Llanerchaeron, ensuring every visit is engaging, welcoming and memorable. You will work closely with the existing Senior Visitor Experience Officer to plan and deliver events, seasonal programmes and creative interpretation, as well as building and maintaining positive relationships with partners and community groups.

Salary: £14.16 per hour

Contract Duration:Fixed term until 30th September 2027

Working Pattern: You will work 7.5 hours (one day) per week. This will ideally will be worked mid-week, but we can be flexible for the right candidate. You may also work occasional weekends and Bank Holidays.

What you'll be doing

Working closely with the existing Senior Visitor Experience Officer, you’ll collaborate to plan and deliver seasonal programming, events and interpretation that encourage visitors to explore more deeply and return again. You’ll be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team that’s always looking for new ways to connect people with the estate.

A big part of this role is building meaningful relationships beyond the property. You’ll work with local communities and young people to create opportunities for engagement, helping Llanerchaeron feel welcoming, relevant and accessible to all. Whether it’s co-creating activities, supporting outreach, or developing new partnerships, you’ll help grow our reach and impact.

You’ll also contribute to the continued growth of the visitor business, using insight and creativity to enhance the offer and increase engagement.
