Service Advisor

We are seeking a Commercial Vehicle Service Advisor on behalf of our client, a prominent multi-franchise approved commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple centres across South West England. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a long-established local business and work with an industry-leading commercial vehicle brand. The successful Service Advisor will be based in Swindon, Wiltshire. Benefits for the successful Service Advisor: Competitive starting salary between £29,000 and £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience Flexible working hours between 30 and 40 hours per week, allowing for full-time or part-time arrangements 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays Access to manufacturer-accredited training and development programmes Company pension scheme Free on-site parking Workwear provided Supportive and friendly working environmentDuties: Greet customers professionally and provide a welcoming first impression Book appointments, manage diaries, and organise the daily schedule Prepare and raise estimates, obtaining customer approval for work Handle all incoming phone calls and email enquiries effectively Prepare job cards and ensure accurate completion of all paperwork Liaise with the workshop controller and communicate with technicians regarding vehicle progress Update customers regularly on vehicle status Process payments and issue invoices Maintain a tidy and professional reception area Support the smooth operation of the workshop through administrative tasks Deliver outstanding customer service to maximise customer satisfaction and retentionRequirements for the Service Advisor position: Proven experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor is highly advantageous, especially within the commercial vehicle sector Excellent communication skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service Strong organisational abilities and proficiency with IT systems Experience with Kerridge/Keyloop DMS system is desirable but not essential A customer-centric approach with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently Knowledge of commercial vehicles and the commercial vehicle industry is beneficial but not mandatoryThe ideal Service Advisor will demonstrate strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with a focus on providing top-tier customer care. Previous experience in a similar role, particularly within the commercial vehicle industry, will be viewed favourably.
