Service Coordinator Northampton £31,000 - £34,000 (DOE) Monday to Friday 8:30am – 16:30pm (16:00pm Friday) We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Service Coordinator to join a busy manufacturing business. You’ll be responsible for coordinating customer enquiries and orders from initial contact through to fulfilment, ensuring customers receive a responsive, professional service at every stage. This is a varied role combining customer service, order processing, quotations, administration and inventory coordination, working closely with customers and internal teams to keep orders moving smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Handle customer enquiries by telephone and email, providing prompt and helpful responses. Process customer orders accurately and efficiently from receipt through to completion. Prepare and issue quotations based on customer requirements, pricing and availability. Liaise with customers to confirm specifications, quantities, lead times and delivery requirements. Monitor inventory and product availability, identifying potential shortages or delays. Follow up outstanding quotations, orders and customer enquiries. Keep customers updated on order progress, delivery times and any changes. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with existing customers. Coordinate with sales, warehouse, purchasing and operations teams to ensure orders are delivered as expected. Resolve customer queries and any issues relating to orders, deliveries or products. Maintain accurate records of orders, quotations, customer communications and stock information.  The Ideal Candidate: Experience in a customer service, sales support, order processing or coordination role ideally within a manufacturing environment.  Excellent telephone and email communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accurate administration skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. A proactive approach to following up customers and outstanding actions. Good commercial awareness and confidence preparing quotations. Experience working with stock/inventory or an understanding of product availability. Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and business systems. A professional, friendly and solutions-focused approach
