Service Modelling Analyst
Job summary
Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and driven BI analyst to support delivery across a number of our key productivity workstreams. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust as akey member of the Business Intelligence Team, providing expert analytics to inform and shape delivery plans. You will work closely with the Associate Director of Operational Productivity, representing BI as a key stakeholder the programme team. You will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of specialities, drawing on data from a wide variety of sources and translating this into meaningful information points. The work you do will have a direct impact on operational plans and delivery, helping to shape the future of our services.
Main duties of the job
Work as a key member of the Business Intelligence Team providing expert analytics in relation to: Model Service planning
Utilisation of Capacity and Demand Modelling tools
Utilisation of benchmarking tools to drive capacity and demand improvement
Delivery of informatics to inform the Annual planning cycle
Provide expert interpretation of complex data to drive performance, quality and service improvements
Provide capacity and demand expertise and direction to the Divisional Analyst Team
Provide proactive support to Divisional teams working to build effective working relationships
Act as a role model within the BI team, supporting and developing colleagues to maximise their learning and potential
Work proactively with colleagues in BI to develop reporting solutions that meet the needs of Divisions
Work to develop triangulation tools that links demand and capacity, workforce and finance informatics

Person specification
Qualifications & Education
Essential
- Degree in numerate / informatics or business management related subject or equivalent significant experience in delivery of the responsibilities described
- Evidence of continuous professional development

Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Extensive experience of information analysis, business intelligence and reporting
- Experience of using Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, QlikView, SSRS, SQL, ETL)
- Extensive experience of analysis of NHS data flows and statutory reporting to support healthcare
- Good working knowledge of NHS information standards and definitions
- n-depth specialist knowledge of statistical/analytical/ techniques and procedures including forecasting and benchmarking techniques
- Experience of using and extracting information from a range of systems
- Experience/knowledge of issues of working with confidential information.
- High level of proficiency in analysing and presenting complex data
- Experience of working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and challenging deadlines
