Shift Manager

Questech Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Shift Manager to join our client's growing manufacturing operation in Elland. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader with a strong manufacturing background who can drive performance, develop teams, and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Location: Elland, Halifax Shifts: 4 on / 4 off (Continental Shift Pattern) Salary: £45,000 Key Responsibilities * Manage day-to-day shift operations, ensuring production targets and KPIs are achieved. * Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams. * Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality, and housekeeping. * Drive continuous improvement using Lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis. * Monitor inventory, stock control, and WMS/NetSuite transactions. * Ensure SOPs and training records are maintained and up to date. * Work closely with Engineering, Quality, H&S, and HR teams to resolve operational issues. Requirements * Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment. * Strong people management and communication skills. * Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. * Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach. * Good understanding of health & safety regulations. * Lean or Six Sigma qualifications are required The Ideal Candidate * A confident and decisive leader. * Resilient and able to perform under pressure. * Passionate about developing and motivating teams. * Committed to driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
