Now Hiring: Shift Operations Supervisor Location: Huntingdon Salary: DOE Contract Type: PERMANENT Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday (no weekends) We are looking for an experienced and motivated Shift Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations during an assigned shift, ensuring that our people, processes and resources are working safely, efficiently and effectively. Working as part of the site leadership team, the Site Operations Supervisor leads the day-to-day operation during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, efficient and legally compliant execution across warehouse, transport and operational support activities. Through visible leadership, coaching and effective communication, the role supports a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement whilst delivering operational and customer performance objectives. About you: You will be a confident and organised supervisor who can motivate a team and remain calm under pressure. You will have strong communication skills, a practical approach to problem-solving and a genuine commitment to maintaining high operational standard Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise the operational team throughout your shift. Allocate workloads and resources to ensure operational targets are achieved. Monitor productivity, quality, service levels and key performance indicators. Ensure all health, safety and company procedures are followed. Conduct shift briefings and maintain clear communication across the team. Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively. Support the training, coaching and development of team members. Manage attendance, performance and day-to-day employee issues in line with company procedures. Complete shift handovers and maintain accurate operational records. Work closely with other departments and management to maintain smooth operations. Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and customer service. Requirements Ability to demonstrate experience in streamlining daily operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and service levels are met. Experience and skills to improve team engagement and performance levels. Able to analyse workflows and identify opportunities for improvement. Able to solve problems and tackle challenges with speed and precision. Strong analytical and PC skills. Bottom of Form Desirable Skills and Experience: Experience in a fast-paced warehouse and transport home delivery environment, involving large goods. IOSH qualified. Proficiency in transport, warehouse and stock control management systems and tools. Proven experience within operational or supervisory or roles, leading diverse teams.
