Shipping Coordinator - Chorley - Permanent - £28k + Bonus (OTE £35-40k) Forrest Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of this established and successful freight and logistics business, who specialise in providing time-critical transport solutions across the UK, Europe and worldwide. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Sales/Customer Service professional to join their busy operations team based in Chorley. Working within a small, supportive and fast-paced team, the successful candidate will be responsible for handling urgent customer transport requirements, securing competitive solutions and developing strong relationships with both new and existing customers. Daily duties will include: * Handling urgent customer enquiries via telephone and email, understanding their requirements and providing suitable transport solutions * Obtaining real-time availability and pricing from UK and European transport providers * Negotiating with hauliers and customers to secure commercially competitive rates * Converting enquiries into confirmed bookings through a confident and proactive sales approach * Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers to encourage repeat business * Reviewing shipment details carefully to establish the correct vehicle requirements, collection and delivery locations and expected transit times * Sourcing suitable vehicl...
