Simulation Software Test Engineer
The Opportunity
Join a team at the forefront of developing advanced simulation software that supports complex systems throughout the full software development lifecycle. Working within an Agile environment, you'll help ensure simulation products are thoroughly tested, fit for purpose, and ready for deployment.
As a Software Testing Engineer, you'll play a critical role in assuring software quality, reliability, and performance. Reporting to Project and Technical Leads, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end testing and verification lifecycle of simulation software releases, from planning and execution through to reporting and certification support.
Key Responsibilities...
Planning
- Understand customer requirements and testing objectives from a verification and validation perspective.
- Gain an understanding of software design and architecture, including defining test environment requirements.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, specifications, and test scripts.
- Prepare and maintain software test strategies to support project delivery.
Test Execution
- Perform ongoing software testing activities throughout the development lifecycle.
- Lead the investigation and verification of software defects.
- Analyse software logs and test data to identify issues and support root cause investigations.
