Setting Out Site Engineer – St Neots Groundworks / Earthworks | New Build Retail Park Start: 1st September 2026 | Approx. 40 Weeks We are looking for an experienced Setting Out Site Engineer to join a groundworks contractor on a new build retail park project in St Neots. The position is due to start 1st September 2026 and is expected to run for approximately 40 weeks, offering a good long-term opportunity for the right engineer. The Role: * Setting out for earthworks and groundworks packages * Levels, drainage, foundations, roads, kerbs and associated external works * Carrying out surveys and maintaining accurate site records * Working closely with the site management and groundworks teams * Ensuring works are completed accurately and in line with drawings/specifications Requirements: * Proven experience as a Site / Setting Out Engineer * Strong earthworks and groundworks experience * Competent using relevant setting out equipment, including Total Station and GPS * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings * Own equipment would be advantageous but is not essential * Relevant engineering qualifications * CSCS required Location: St Neots Start Date: 01/09/2026 Duration: Approx. 40 weeks Sector: Groundworks / New Build Retail If you're an experienced Setting Out Engineer and available for a long-term project in St Neots, please get in touch with your latest CV, availability and expected day rate
