Site Engineer – Swindon Location: Swindon, Wiltshire Project: Industrial Unit Project Duration: Approximately 3 weeks Start Date: 24 August Position: Site Engineer Contract Type: Short-term contract Role Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a project in Swindon, starting on 24 August. This is an approximately 3-week opportunity for a Site Engineer with strong setting-out and groundworks/civil engineering experience. The successful candidate will work closely with the site team to ensure works are completed accurately, safely and in line with project requirements. Key Responsibilities * Setting out works accurately in accordance with drawings and specifications. * Carrying out levels, measurements and site surveys. * Reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical information. * Establishing and maintaining site control points and benchmarks. * Checking completed works against design specifications and required tolerances. * Working closely with the Site Manager and site operatives. * Providing engineering support and resolving technical issues on site. * Monitoring the quality and accuracy of works throughout the project. * Maintaining accurate site records and documentation. * Supporting the wider site team as required. * Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements. Requirements * Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on construction, civil engineering or groundworks projects. * Strong setting-out and surveying skills. * Ability to read and understand construction drawings. * Experience using relevant surveying equipment. * Good attention to detail and accuracy. * Strong communication and organisational skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a site team. * Relevant site qualifications and CSCS certification. * Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
