FMCG We are recruiting for an experienced
Site Engineering Manager
to take overall responsibility for the engineering function at a busy FMCG manufacturing site. This is a key leadership role, responsible for leading and developing the engineering team, delivering the planned maintenance strategy, improving site reliability and driving a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage and develop the site engineering team. Deliver the planned preventative maintenance programme and improve engineering KPIs. Reduce production downtime through effective maintenance and rapid breakdown response. Manage engineering budgets, contractors, projects and site maintenance activity. Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and legal requirements. Identify and deliver engineering, automation and continuous improvement projects. Work closely with Operations, Health & Safety and Continuous Improvement teams. Ensure appropriate engineering spares, tools and facilities are maintained. Provide effective engineering leadership during breakdowns and operational emergencies. About You
You will be an experienced engineering leader with a background in
FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar high-volume manufacturing environment . Ideally, you will have: HND/Degree or equivalent Engineering qualification. Proven experience managing and developing engineering teams. Strong maintenance and project engineering experience. Excellent problem-solving and continuous improvement skills. Experience managing budgets and contractors. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of manufacturing performance. Knowledge of TPM, Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar methodologies would be advantageous. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineering professional to take ownership of a key site function and make a tangible impact on
