Site Manager Location: East London Job Type: Freelance Contract Duration: Until April 2027 Start Date: Within the Next Month Rate: Competitive (DOE) Site Manager - Industrial / Logistics Project A leading UK main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join a major project in East London. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established site team delivering a significant scheme, taking responsibility for key structural and fit-out packages from the concrete frame through to completion. The Role You will oversee the delivery of critical construction activities, ensuring works are completed safely, to programme and to the highest quality standards. Initially, your focus will be on: Concrete pours Installation of precast concrete planks Full external envelope packageYou will then lead the project through the internal fit-out phase, coordinating subcontractors and driving programme delivery through to completion. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day site operations for structural and fit-out packages. Coordinate subcontractors to maintain programme and quality. Oversee health, safety and environmental compliance. Monitor quality assurance and inspections throughout the build. Chair site coordination meetings and communicate progress with the wider project team. Ensure works are delivered in line with programme milestones. Maintain accurate site records and reporting. Work collaboratively with the commercial, design and project management teams. Requirements Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor. Strong background delivering concrete frame, external envelope and internal fit-out packages. Experience on industrial, education, logistics, commercial or large-scale construction projects is advantageous. Previous experience working with software systems would be highly desirable.
