Site Manager Location: Ashford, Kent Start Date: 17th August 2026 Duration: Until Christmas 2026 Rate: £285 per day Site Manager - CAT A / CAT B Office Fit-Out - Ashford, Kent I'm working with an East Midlands-based fit-out contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee a CAT A / CAT B office fit-out project in Ashford, Kent. The project is being delivered within a live, occupied office environment, so previous experience working on occupied sites and strong client-facing skills are essential. Reporting into a visiting Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. The Role: Managing the day-to-day delivery of a CAT A / CAT B office fit-out project Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed in line with programme Liaising directly with the end client and maintaining strong working relationships throughout the project Managing works within a live office environment while minimising disruption to occupants Ensuring health & safety compliance and maintaining high site standards Monitoring quality of workmanship and overseeing snagging through to completion Chairing site meetings and providing regular progress updates to the visiting Project Manager Maintaining site documentation, daily diaries, RAMS, and health & safety recordsKey Requirements: Proven experience managing CAT A / CAT B office fit-out projects Experience working within live, occupied commercial environments Excellent client-facing, organisational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and drive programme SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid essentialThis is a long-term freelance opportunity running from 17th August 2026 through to Christmas 2026
