Freelance No.2 Site Manager - Industrial Build Project Kent Start Date: Mid-September Duration: 6 Months Competitive Day Rate Freelance Contract We are recruiting on behalf of a leading main contractor for an experienced No.2 Site Manager to support the delivery of a £11M new build industrial development in Kent. The Project Working alongside the Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a new build industrial unit, including: Groundworks and foundations Structural steel frame External envelope Industrial fit-out Office fit-out, including M&E installations Key Responsibilities Support the Project Manager with the day-to-day management of site operations Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards Monitor Health & Safety compliance, quality and site progress Assist with programme management, site logistics and sequencing Maintain accurate site records and progress reporting Liaise with commercial, technical and design teams throughout the project lifecycle Requirements Previous experience as a Site Manager or No.2 Site Manager on industrial or commercial new build projects Strong understanding of steel frame construction and industrial developments SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential) Temporary Works Coordinator and Fire Marshal qualifications preferred (or willingness to obtain) Experience using Procore would be advantageous Must have access to a laptop and mobile phone What's on Offer? 6-month freelance contract with a respected main contractor Competitive day rate Opportunity to work on a high-quality industrial development Strong pipeline of future projects for successful candidatesIf you're available for a mid-September start and have the relevant experience, we'd like to hear from you.
