Site Manager – Earthworks and Drainage Project Location: Leiston, Suffolk Contract: Temporary to Permanent Rate: Up to £350 per day Project Value: Approximately £5 million We are currently recruiting an experienced Site Manager to join an established earthworks contractor based in Ipswich. The successful candidate will oversee a £5 million drainage project near Leiston, involving a mixture of deep and shallow drainage works, earthworks and associated groundworks. The Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the project, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, within budget and in line with the construction programme. Role and Responsibilities * Take responsibility for the daily management and successful delivery of the project. * Manage deep and shallow drainage, earthworks and associated groundworks. * Coordinate site labour, subcontractors, plant and materials. * Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards. * Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, inspections and daily briefings. * Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements. * Monitor progress against the construction programme and address any potential delays. * Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors and senior management. * Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and quality docu...
