About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established Main Contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across Luton and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a proven track record of managing projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Working across a range of new build and refurbishment projects in sectors such as commercial, education, healthcare, residential, and industrial, you will play a key role in ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations on site from commencement through to completion.
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project programmes and ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and the project management team.
  • Conduct site meetings, toolbox talks, and regular progress reporting.
  • Manage site documentation, inspections, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify and resolve site issues proactively to minimise delays and costs.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager working for a Main Contractor.
  • Experience delivering construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • A thorough understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance.
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with clients and subcontractors. xwzovoh

Essential Qualifications

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Manager Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Full UK Driving Licence
