Site Manager needed in Mitcham, Greater London Salary- Competitive Start date- ASAP Term- Ongoing Overview: We are partnering with a leading civil contractor to find an experienced and driven Project Manager to join their team. With a solid reputation for delivering large-scale, complex infrastructure projects, our client is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects within the civil sector. Responsibilities: * Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of civil engineering projects from inception to completion. * Demonstrate strong leadership, Lead and manage project teams, ensuring clear communication, strong collaboration, and optimal performance. * Contributes to business improvement by performing a safety audit at least once a month. * Project cost control and financial reporting. * Monitors incident and near-miss reporting across PM's sites, fostering a safety-first culture. * Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations, maintaining high standards across all projects. * Offer mentoring and advice to direct reports on project problems, risks, and opportunities. * Prepare and present progress reports and other documentation for senior management and clients. * Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors, maintaining positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Skills and Experience: * 5+ years in management within mixed mechanical, electrical and civil roles. * Record in delivering large, complex £10m-£50m projects. * Proven experience as a Site Manager in a mixed mechanical, electrical and civil job. * Strong understanding of civil engineering practices and project delivery. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines and priorities. * Full understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards.
